This honors credit course is designed to provide students with opportunities to acquire and apply foundational skills related to web design. Students should already possess foundational computer skills including but not limited to: file management structure, navigation, program multitasking, and basic computer hardware/software identification. Students will be taught essential Web page development skills using Hypertext Markup Language version 5 (HTML5) and Cascading Style Sheets (CSS). You will learn how to write code manually as well as use graphical user interface (GUI) authoring tools. Through our certification exam curriculum, students will be provided an introduction to tasks, job roles and careers in Web development. Throughout the course, you will learn how websites are developed and managed as projects and relate website development to business goals.
